Elizabeth Anne Wilkinson (aka Mrs. Harry Faunthorpe)

She did not get back with Samuel though it seems that's what he may have wanted, And when she moved to Wales her family never heard from her again. What I would like to find out is who she married and if she had children. All it seems that is known of the new guy was that he was a cook in the Navy who was called up in 1938 and sent to Kimmel Bay in Wales.

She came back to England, and clearly broke Samuels heart again. She stayed in Manchester for about four years before moving to Wales with her new husband
Sorry, I must have misunderstood the quote above. So, if Elizabeth went back to Manchester after her return to England and lived there for 4 years but not with her husband Samuel, who did she live with? In order to be able to officially marry this Navy cook and move to Wales, she must have first obtained a legal divorce from Samuel; from what you say, he might have been reluctant to let her go.

Sorry thought I had replied to this. All I know at this time is that she lived in Cheetham Hill. Maybe she lived with her sibling? And maybe she was free to Marry the Cook if Samuel had died? There are 43 possible Samuels in the 1921 census so still digging. I'm also keen to work out the branch that made her Samuels 2nd Cousin. My friend must somehow be related to her as well as Samuel if this is indeed the case.

Lizzie Wilkinson was my Grandma Amy’s Oconnor ( nee Wilkinsons) cousin and I remember being told about ‘Aunt Lizzie’ as a child.
