I am interested in the stories of the passengers. I believe there is a story behind each person who was on the Titanic that ill-fated night. It is our responsiblity to keep their stories alive so they don't become 'just another statistic'.

I surfed on in months ago but now have something to contribute. I you wish to add a little more this this great site you can reference a report which was published by the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) in the USA. The report is called the Metallurgy of the RMS Titanic, NIST-IR 6118, by Tim Foecke. You may already know of this report but I thought it could not hurt to mention it. to mention it. Best Regards, Luke

If anyone out there could help me in trying to identify a postcard of a steamer that I believe to be the Carpathia, then drop me a line and I will E-Mail you a scan of it. Top Site, keep up the good work, and a quick Hello to all members of The British Titanic Society, and The Ulster Titanic Society.

We are looking for a crew member by the name of Ted Gaymer. He was in the boiler rooms. We looked under the crew listings but couldn't find his name. Could you please let me know if you know anything about this man.

My great-uncle, Herbert Klein ( a ship's barber) went down with the ship. I understand his body was never recovered. Family folklore speaks of my grandfather, Emanuel Klein, being on board the first or second rescue ship. I am trying to trace whether that is true or not. Can anyone suggest how I can go about this search? Thanks

While searching my family's name and history and searching for ships that left the British Isles near or at the turn of the century, I quite literally, stumbled onto your site. I've been caught-up in the new release of the movie 'Titanic' since it's debut here in the U.S A. I somehow can never get enough about all that was Titanic. What a wonderful Web site. Thank you very much! P.s. I wonder if the director of 'Titanic' has ever been to this site...if not, on second thought, he certainly must have or should have.

Another interested person wanting to know further information about my (query) linkage to Wallace Hartley. My descendent, Thomas Hartley, came from Colne via Halifax, in 1860. A memorial of Elizabeth Hartley has recently been located, this was also the name of Wallace's mother. Thomas's 'brother' arrived in New Zealand in 1873. Any information would be appreciated at the above address. Thanks.

Great site. Very informative and respectfully done. Have always had an interest in such events and like to more about the 'real stories'. Thanks so much for such a tasteful and honest look into the Titanic stories. Hopefully this site will continue to be updated. I plan on visiting often to check the 'what's new'.
