A minor correction:
Railings were uniformly 42 inches high. Exceptions were the bulwark caprails in the well decks and bridgefront and below the emergency lifeboats.

The shell doors had differing dimensions depending on their locations.

Best bet: Get some plans. How can you scratchbuild without them?

hello Bob and brian:
thanks for the suggestions. how I wish i could have plans! man, i got no credit card and plans' price is such a big amount here in the Philippines. i once bought a model here (a Chinese brand, not the Gold Medal, etc. brand because there are no stores who sold them here as far as i know) but it turned out to be "too mistakenly modeled" so I guess i could build them, based on the deckplans here in the encyclopedia-titanica site...

by the way, if there is such a kind-hearted person here who would give me a copy of the plans you are referring too... my greatest and heartfelt thanks!!!!
